The Barnes TSX FB (Triple-Shock X Flat Base) Projectiles are premium all-copper hunting bullets designed to deliver maximum weight retention, deep penetration and dependable expansion on medium to large game. Constructed from 100% copper, the TSX eliminates the possibility of jacket-core separation and routinely retains virtually all of its original weight after impact. The hollow-point cavity is hydraulically driven, causing the bullet to expand into four razor-sharp petals that create large wound channels while maintaining deep penetration through heavy muscle and bone.

A key feature of the TSX design is Barnes' patented pressure-relief grooves (driving bands) machined into the bullet shank. These grooves reduce bearing surface contact with the bore, lowering pressures, reducing copper fouling and often improving accuracy. They also allow the TSX to be safely loaded at higher velocities than many traditional monolithic bullets.
