Barnes TAC-TX FB Projectiles

The Barnes TAC-TX FB (Tactical Tipped X Flat Base) Projectiles are purpose-built all-copper hunting bullets designed to deliver rapid expansion, exceptional weight retention and deep penetration, particularly in moderate-velocity cartridges such as the .300 AAC Blackout. Developed from Barnes' proven TAC-X design, the TAC-TX adds a precision polymer tip to improve ballistic performance and ensure reliable expansion at lower impact velocities.

Manufactured from 100% copper, the TAC-TX FB eliminates jacket-core separation and retains virtually all of its original weight after impact. The large polymer tip initiates expansion quickly, producing Barnes' characteristic four-petal mushroom while maintaining excellent penetration through muscle and bone. This combination makes the TAC-TX one of the most effective projectiles available for hunters using short-barrel rifles and moderate-velocity hunting cartridges.
